Polam industrial lamp

An antique lamp from the Polam plant in Gdańsk. Marchlewski in Oliwa.

Extremely robust, industrial lamp. We found it lying around in the company of several other lamps in one of the old buildings of the former barracks in Olsztyn. We couldn’t ignore it.

Classic design, and at the same time almost indestructible, cast iron form. Perfect for any loft. We have undergone a thorough renovation. All components cleaned, rust removed. We have kept as many original elements as possible, replacing only elements such as screws with worn threads or worn gaskets. The original triangular head bolts holding the basket have been replaced with Allen bolts due to the difficulty of handling the original bolts.

We added an adapter from the original E40 to E27 thread to the lamp.

Finish:

The base is powder coated in grey, the basket is spray-painted with a colorless varnish.

The lamp is mounted on a steel chain 50 cm long.

• The lamp is not equipped with a ceiling mounting system due to the need to use different systems depending on the ceiling structure and type of finish.
• The lampshade has not survived, so it is not hermetic, as it was in the original.
• We tried to keep as much as possible from the original, therefore the product may have minor imperfections of the original parts, which, however, should not affect its functional properties in any way.
